Their culture consists of various castes and sects. The Scrin's society or government appears to be organized in a hierarchy, headed by a single leader. Eventually, GDI pushed them back and destroyed the Relay Node, killing all their forces, while the Foreman retreated through the last remaining Threshold. Commanded by Foreman 371 and his AI assistant, they were unprepared for the military resistance of the native humans, expecting a dying populace in disarray. However, Kane tricked GDI into causing a premature liquid Tiberium explosion, luring the Scrin mining force to Earth. The Scrin are suspected to have been the ones who originally seeded Earth with Tiberium using a meteor, intending to harvest the mineral after it had reached a sufficient concentration by extracting it with Threshold Towers. Calling Tiberium "Ichor", the Scrin have a dependence on the substance and will die if they do not receive Tiberium infusion or radiation from a Relay Node. The Scrin, or Visitors, are a powerful and technologically advanced alien race, suspected to be related to the origins of the Tacitus. Ah, the Visitors, greatest of paradoxes! Management has decided to ban tents, portable grills and alcohol in the parking lots. Add Jiffy Lube Live, an outdoor concert amphitheater in suburban Prince William County, about 35 miles west of Washington, DC., to the list of venues tailgaters are no longer welcome. I like Merriweather Post Pavilion much better. And the hits just keep on coming for tailgaters. It took us over a half hour to get out of that ridiculousness. Not only was she behaving like that, she was wearing a pink cape while doing it. And BEHIND me? Behind me, a woman who appeared to be in about her 50s and wearing a pink cape pounded on my car and yelled that I needed to stop letting people in. Two women who looked like they were drunk in a huge red SUV came from the left in an attempt to inhabit that same space in front of me. Picture this scenario folks: One guy who looked like he wasn't old enough to drive came out of nowhere and attempted to cut me off from my right. People turned into wild animals eager to ram into each other with their cars on their way to the exit. But getting out of that venue was like nothing I've ever experienced or ever want to experience again. Sure, drinks were over-priced but that wasn't surprising to us. We had pit tickets and the area wasn't too packed. So Linkin Park and 30 Seconds to Mars were great. And then, after dinner, my husband pulled a muscle in his leg and it looked like we were going to have to drive after all. Walk? Why would we do that? But we were determined. Other concert-goers we met scoffed at this. We got a room at the Hampton Inn nearby (review on that as well btw) and were pleased to know we could easily walk to the venue. I read the warnings on Trip Advisor beforehand so. Due to ineptitude by young kids, who were obviously directed to do so by their superiors, we drove around for 10-15 minutes before getting out of the lot, because the closest exit was blocked by a parked car (!) and cars were parked to the fences which didn't allow us to get out of our area! THE MANAGEMENT SHOULD ALL BE FIRED FOR THEIR TREATMENT OF PATRONS! We left the show early when the encore started to avoid similar exit problems (not moving for 1 hour!) this year. BTW, the staff was standing around doing nothing while we waited. Due to "Jimmy's request", all bottles had to be emptied into cups upon entrance, which further delayed entrance, and the gates didn't open until 6:30-we were (mis)treated liked animals. We were told that single, unopened water bottles could be brought in and that the gates would open at 6:00-both NOT true. We got there very early (3 hours) due to parking problems last year. Just saw Jimmy Buffett for 3rd time last night (show was great, sound was muddled). After hearing about the issues getting out, glad we did! Overall, so so venue, it really needs some improvement to the parking area and better organization. We left after Margaritaville (before the encore) and made it out of the parking lot in 10 minutes. We had lawn seats, not terrible except that everyone stood for the entire damn show. Of course my wife demands a raspber-rita, something I could have gotten for $3 at the gas station we stopped at on the way in. $11 for a beer, $14 for a 24 oz "malternative" (lime-a-Rita ans its other incarnations). I thought sports venues were bad but this place takes the cake. Glad we did because the drink prices in the venue made my eyes water. Everyone was tailgating so we weren't given a hard time about drinking in the parking lot. Everything we found online said parking lots didn't open until 6- we get there at 5:45 and see a big sign that says "parking lots open at 3:30." Oh, really? We drove in and went in a giant circle just to get to a spot. ![]() ![]() Went here with wife & in-laws for Jimmy Buffet.
